Hi
Ive been looking over my set and im thinking about getting some better quality stuff.
My set is basicly a cheap on, im wondering how bad good heads on basicly cheap shells would sound.
I know it affects it, but im wondering by how much. There Peace shells, but know one seems to know much about them at all lol.
Thanks

You really have nothing to lose
in trying it. You NEED good heads.
Think of the sound you are looking
for and we'll see about helping you
out, with the right choices.

I used G2's on a Tama rockstar kit for years and even taken it into the studio with possitive results. Now I only use ambassadors.......

Heads have HUGE impact on your sound. I recently took a pair of Pearl Forum toms into the studio and they sounded great - I used Aquarian Modern Vintage batter heads and Classic Clear bottoms. I own far more expensive drums, but these had the jazz tuning I wanted for this session. But I've also tuned them for rock, and they held their own.
Most budget drums are decently made. Replace the heads (top AND bottom) with pro-quality heads, and you may be amazed.
